Beschreibung: Seen from the shore behind the dock the ferry eases its way into its berth. Its cargo is two loaded munitions trains side by side. An engine reverses up the tracks leading to the ferry, is coupled to one of the trains and draws it out. The train carries, on flatcars, tanks with their sponsons removed (as was normal for rail travel) and covered in tarpaulin. A British official photographer, probably Second-Lieutenant Tom Aitken, can be seen at work. Another engine takes the second train, which also carries tanks in the same manner, as well as two trucks holding shells.
